I tried this fix, and while the internet became instantly faster, it seems that, with time, it gets slower and slower.

I am so frustrated today as I spent this morning converting my set up and bookmarks over to Firefox from Safari. This decision was based on Firefox’s fast webpage download speeds recently. Somehow it has totally slowed up and I will go back to Safari…. annoying stuff!!

As a newbie - how do I get to about:config’ as mentioned above? a step by step reference would be very helpful of course
